Bowl for Kids Sake 2018

Event Details

On Saturday April 21st bowlers and spectators alike from all over the Black Hills gathered at Robbinsdale Lanes in Rapid City to Bowl for Kids’ Sake. Our teams were ready to show off their bowling skills and boast about how much they raised. The bowling scores weren’t great, but the fundraising was impressive. We have raised a lot of money over the past 20 plus years of being a corporate sponsor for Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. It is great to see everyone’s enthusiasm and excitement, I grateful for everyone’s participation and outstanding pledge totals.

Spearfish Common Cents received top honors this year with the largest pledge total of $3062, way to go Spearfish! Belle Fourche maintained their 2nd place standing for yet another year raising $2789. The MPC office team came in 3rd raising $2660, followed by Lead at $2221. Lacrosse and Hwy 44 Common Cents each raised over $1800 with Rushmore Rd and North Street raising over $1500. Canyon Lake, Wall and Sturgis raised over $1000 each in pledges. You should all be very proud of the monies raised, this fundraiser alone accounts for 1/3 of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Black Hills entire yearly budget! Your hard work does have a huge impact in our community and surrounding areas.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest, largest and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States. They have been the leader in one-to-one youth services for more than a century, developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people. The Big Brothers Big Sisters Mission is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with mentors that have a measurable impact on youth. Thank you all for your hard work and enthusiasm supporting this wonderful organization!
